INTRODUCTION
After our recent interview with Danny from Insight Supplement. In that interview we spoke about his supplement line “Foresight Nutrition”. I decided to give some of their range a go and thought that we should post a review. As we try and review their range we will post it here. First up is their Carbohydrate Powder, Re-Carb, What do we think and what was it like? Let us dive straight in.
FORESIGHT NUTRITION - RE-CARB
WHAT IS IT?
Re-carb is a carbohydrate powder, designed to be used as a intra workout. Supplying your body with quick acting, fast carbs. Allowing you to maintain your energy throughout a workout. With 28g of carbs and 112 calories per serving and it seems like a great way to get that extra kick during a workout, But is it worth it?
MIXING
The mixing was fine. It mixed quickly. After mixing there was a bit of foam on the top, but this disappeared by the time I got to the gym. As I reached the bottom of the shaker, I did get a slight gritty sensation but that is to be expected as you finish a powdered drink. Overall the drink mixed very well and quickly.
TASTE
The taste! Oh my! The taste is just perfect! Such a nice and refreshing flavour. I went for the Strawberry Orange flavour and they have nailed the flavour! It is the perfect drink for an intra-workout or cycling. Not hard to get down and is a delight to drink.
EFFECTS
This is my first time using a Carb powder. Personally, I didn’t really know what to expect. So I started using one scoop (39g) and using it for my gym workouts. I felt that my energy was better, my energy was more sustained. I also felt that my pumps were bigger. When using it cycling I found that it stopped me crashing and gave me that little boost to keep going. Great to sip on for both gym and cycling, getting those extra carbs in.
PACKAGING
They have also smashed the packaging! It is so different. It isn’t like anything I have ever seen. Very bright, reflective and stand out on anyone s supplement shelf. The scoop is your standard scoop, but deeper than a protein scoop. The tub is shorter and wider tub than I was expecting.
PRICE
The price per tub is £42.99, now I bought it from Insight Supplements and you can use a discount code to get it cheaper. This may seem a bit expensive to some people, but for a supplement, you won’t use all the time it is a great deal, plus using a code will bring the price down even further.
CONCLUSION
