Tip 1: Try New exercises
The great thing about working out from home is the flexibility that comes with it. You don’t have to wait for any areas or equipment to become free. This being the case means that you can try whatever exercises you want to. Spice up your program, Try a completely different one. You are in complete control.
Never be afraid to try new things, Everyone is guilty of getting stuck in the same routine. Changing things up will definitely make things fresh and stop you getting bored. 90% of the time, when you think you are getting bored with working out, you are actually getting bored with your routine. Jazz that up and the motivation will come rushing back and that boredom will soon go!
Tip 2: Workout in a different room or location
A big thing that you have control over when working out from home is where you work out. Working out from your own house means you can choose any room or even outside or in the garage. So if you find your workout getting stale, change top the location and try somewhere else. This is perfect as it will feel completely different and new.
When possible we highly recommend working out outside, this brings something extra to your workout! Living in England we have to take this opportunity when we can. With the weather being how it is is the perfect time to take your workout and move it outside. Nothing better than an outside workout in the sunshine.
Tip 3: Workout with a friend
Competition can be an amazing thing! Making you work harder, and make you push yourself further than you would normally. Working out with a friend is a great way to keep your home workouts fresh and fun. Invite a friend over, maybe set a challenge up and see who wins.
You will find that working out with a friend will not only make your workouts better but also make you more accountable for working out, you won’t be able to blow off a work out because your friend will remind you. This will help you keep on track. Working out with a friend is something everyone should try, A partner workout, outside in the sun is perfect!
Tip 4: Change the format of your workouts
A change in format can do wonders for a home workout. Been doing the same circuit routine for a few weeks now? Why not change it? Try a Tabata workout or Kettlebell workout? Trying a new format is great if you enjoy your exercises. You can keep the same exercises but just change how they are performed. Tip 5: Have a Rest
Working out from home what you will find yourself doing is working out every day. It becomes very close to home because, well, it is. What you have to remember is that it is ok not to workout for a day or two. You are allowed to have a rest. Got a day out, or something planned for a certain day? Don’t stress over trying to fit a workout in, take a rest day and recover fully.
Doing so will leave you recovered, feeling fresher than ever. Ready to hit the next workout. You will find that you are keen to get back to working out. A great way to re-light your workout motivation. So just keep in mind that resting isn’t a bad thing!
