In this article, I am going to over a few of my favourites. So let us dive into the first piece of home workout equipment.

Our first piece of home workout equipment is the piece of equipment that you will get the most out off. A simple Kettlebell, or if you can afford it, two kettlebells will unlock so many kettlebell home workouts. They are so versatile and you can use them in almost every workout. You can buy Kettlebells in a variety of Weights, Colours and even looks and grips. So you are such to find something to fit your needs. They take up no room at all in your house, so storage is easy. Kettlebell home workouts are always close by!

The great thing about kettlebells is that you can use them as standard weights, to do curls, squats or rows, however, you can also use them to do more “CrossFit” workouts, including Kettlebell Swings, Clean and press and many more. So as you can see they are so versatile and can be used for a wide variety of kettlebell workouts. 

We recommend going on second-hand sites online to find used kettlebells, You will save so much money buying second-hand kettlebells. These are a must-have, Kettlebell home workouts are a game changer! Believe us! 

Resistance Bands

Next up is the cheapest piece of equipment to add resistance to your workouts, or even just use them to warm up and stretch out before a full lifting session. The humble Resistance band. So many positives about Resistance band home workouts.

They are so easy to use, grab one end, or both, and pull, push, jump or squat. They offer a wide variety of resistance where ever needed. With the many types available you can add resistance to any exercise that you need. They come in loops, bands, ropes and cables. You can wrap them around yourself, hold on or tie it around your waist. Resistance band home workouts are the perfect way to add resistance to any workout. Making them amazing! 

You can pick these up on any online store for cheap. They come in various colours and various resistance. They are also fairly cheap to purchase so picking up a few sets of them is a bonus and won’t ruin your bank balance. Resistance band home workouts are so easy, yet so effective!

Pull Up Bar

A good pull up bar will improve your home workouts 100%! Let you expand your workouts, You will be able to do home workouts for Abs, Home workouts for Abs and even home workouts for arms. They can act as a station for all your home workout equipment. You can hang Resistance bands of them, ropes, chains or anything you need. Using this one piece of home workout equipment you can expand your “Home gym” massively.

Now it’s not all good news with a pull-up bar, as there are a few issues with them. The first issue is the price. For a good quality Pull Up bar you are looking at £50 plus, so they are the most expensive item on the list, but saying that they are well worth the investment. The second bit of bad news is that you have to put it somewhere. Got to find a solid wall that can support the bar properly. We don’t recommend buying the pull-up bars that hang of Door frames, they tend to go wrong. You want to purchase a Pull up bar that you have to drill into the wall to mount.

Yoga Mat

This isn’t like a piece of home workout equipment as it is a piece of equipment to help your home workouts. What we mean by this is that when doing home workouts you tend, by the nature of the activity, to spend a lot of your time on the floor, and depending on where you workout this can start to hurt or get uncomfortable on your joints. Your wrists, knees and back will spend a lot of time in contact with the floor. 

Investing in a yoga mat will make sure you have a soft surface available wherever you choose to workout. Taking the staring away from your joints. This will improve your workouts so much, making them more comfortable and easier.

We recommend that you have a look online, there are many brands available, many colours and many different types and textures. So there is a mat for everyone. They are fairly cheap to pick up, and can also be rolled up some again, storage is not an issue.
